Chloe Laporte, LLMSW

Hey there! I am so glad you felt comfortable enough to seek care. This is the first step to making genuine and effective change in your life. I am here to help create a safe and welcoming environment for you to explore who you are through your feelings as well as experiences.

I use a multi-faceted therapeutic approach, drawing from Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Parent Management Training. My practice is grounded in anti-racism, social justice, and intersectional feminism, which guide both my professional work and personal values. As a queer, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming clinician and proud member of this community, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating identity development, trauma, depression, and anxiety-related disorders.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in psychology from The Honors College at Eastern Michigan University in 2023, with a minor in criminal justice. I went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan in 2025 with a concentration in the welfare of children, youth, and families. During my time obtaining my master's degree, I gained experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. Within these positions, I gained critical experience in various therapeutic modalities, crisis intervention, as well as discharge and safety planning. I bring a diverse set of experiences and an educational background deeply rooted in the psychology of liberation, which allows me to approach care with flexibility and understanding across diverse populations.

I am deeply committed to providing affirming, accessible, and inclusive care that acknowledges the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ communities. My approach emphasizes education, empowerment, and open dialogue, ensuring that conversations around health are rooted in respect and affirmation of each person’s identity.

Clients often describe me as compassionate, curious, and occasionally funny. I truly look forward to meeting people where they are and building meaningful therapeutic relationships. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Rafael, lifting weights with friends, and exploring new cuisines! Overall, I am a genuine, silly person with a big heart, and I would be honored to share in your journey.
